At SELF, we believe that learners are most successful when they work in a respectful, positive environment with a tutor that can add a personal touch and a little fun to the learning process. Do you have what it takes to support Learning for Living by reaching out to a SELF learner?

• Are you committed to literacy, education, and community building?
• Do you have strong oral and written communication skills?
• Are you able to commit to at least one 2-hour learning session per week for at least one year?
• Do you have a positive attitude and solid interpersonal skills?

To become a SELF volunteer you will need to complete the necessary training and attend professional development workshops to gain the skills needed to change the life of a SELF learner. As a tutor, you'll know that your efforts have made a significant difference in the life of a learner; you'll also benefit by expanding your own communication skills and employment skills, plus you'll have fun and meet new people.
