How long can I stay in the program? |

Learners are welcome to continue attending as long as they see progress and maintain regular attendance. |

How much does it cost? |

Program registration is $30, with additional $20 per year for tutoring sessions. $40
per year is required for learners that attend every day. |

English is not my first language. Can you teach me how to speak English better? |

SELF requires learners to be comfortable with conversational English prior to program enrollment. |

Do you have evening and weekend classes? |

There are no weekend classes. Evening classes are available during the week, Monday through Thursday until 9 p.m. |

All tutoring sessions are on-site. |

Learners must be 19 years of age or older and not currently enrolled in any other school. |

We are open year round, with a two-week closure at Christmas. |

Our continuous intake program lets you start as soon as a class or tutor becomes available. |

What is the process to get into the program? |

- Book an appointment with the Intake Worker for an initial assessment
- Pay your administration fee and yearly fee
- Complete all orientation classes
- Start either in a class or with a tutor

What are the requirements to be a tutor? |
| A |
Tutors must be high school graduates that are 19 years of age or older and able to commit to 12 months in our program. You will also be required to do a writing sample at the initial interview. |
